The Spline Channel Editor
The Spline Channel Editor offers Cabling users powerful commands to create and modify channels consisting of spline edges only. In addition to providing a more realistic real-life model, spline edges:
Can be pushed and pulled without breaking connectivity.
Can take almost any form within a single segment.
Can be tangentially connected at branch points.
Can be adjusted in length easily without adding additional geometry.
Can be deleted with one selection.
Can be pushed into guides.
Though you can mix spline edges and connected 2D geometry in your channel part, to benefit from the advantages, using only splines as channel edges is recommended.
*
Each channel segment should consist of only one single spline edge. More than one spline per edge, even if tangentially connected, is not recommended for future compatibility.
To start the Spline Channel Editor, click Spline Channel and then, in the Channel group, click Create.
The Spline Channel Editor dialog box has the following tabs:
Create—To create channel edges.
Modify—To modify channel edges.
Guides—To create and modify virtual guides.
Misc—To perform additional tasks.
Modi 2—To modify channel segments.
Settings—To set search paths for channel edges.

See the related links for details about the tabs.
While the above tabs contain task-specific buttons, the following table lists buttons that are common across tabs.
Delete a part or a workplane.
Cancel the current operation.
Accept the current operation.
Undo the most-recent action.
Show or hide interpolation points of a channel.
Show or hide the 3D CoPilot.
