Before you can autoroute cables, you must prepare a path for them. With the Channel through clamps command, you can route the channel through cable clamps placed on the model. You can interrupt the flow of the cable through clamps by selecting another position for the cable to pass through before resuming its route through the clamps.
To route the channel through clamps,
1. Click Channel and then, in the New group, click Channel through clamps. The Path through clamps dialog box opens.
2. Select a curve or edge from which to start the path through clamps. The Select dialog box opens.
3. Use the Select dialog box to create the list of clamps. When you are finished, click End in the Select dialog box.
4. Select a curve or edge at which to end the path through clamps.
