Move a point
You can move interpolation points on a channel edge in one of the following ways:
To a new position. This is the default.
Onto a face.
Using the 3D CoPilot.
Into a guide.
Out of a guide.
To move an interpolation point to a new position,
1. On the Modify tab, click .
2. Select a channel edge. The interpolation points appear.
3. Under Edge Modifications, click Move Pnt.
4. Select an interpolation point.
5. Click New Pos and select a destination point. The point snaps to the destination point.
The following image shows how you can move an interpolation point to a new position.
To move an interpolation point onto a face,
1. On the Modify tab, click .
2. Select a channel edge. The interpolation points appear.
3. Under Edge Modifications, click Move Pnt.
4. Select an interpolation point.
5. Click on Face and select a face.
The following image shows how you can move an interpolation point on to a face.
To move an interpolation point using the 3D CoPilot,
1. On the Modify tab, click .
2. Select a channel edge. The interpolation points appear.
3. Under Edge Modifications, click Move Pnt.
4. Select an interpolation point.
5. Click CoPilot. The 3D CoPilot appears.
6. Move the point using the 3D CoPilot.
The following image shows how you can move an interpolation point using the 3D CoPilot.
To move a point into a guide,
1. On the Modify tab, under Edge Modifications, click Into Guide.
2. Select a point on the channel edge.
3. Select a guide. The channel edge at the selected point is dragged into the guide.
The following image shows how you can move a point into a guide.
To release a channel edge out of a guide,
1. On the Modify tab, under Edge Modifications, click Release Guide.
2. Select a guide. All channel edges in the guide are released.
