Render a design > Creo Elements/Direct Rendering > Assign a render material

Assign a render material
The Materials tab contains a wide variety of realistic looking render materials you can apply to your model. They define how surfaces react to light.
Rendering materials have four basic characteristics:
Color: Define simple colors, patterns, bitmaps, etc.
Reflectance: Control how light interacts with the material.
Transparency: Define materials' translucence or transparence.
Displacement: Make materials appear smooth or rough.
For certain render materials you can also set or change Texture space, which is used to position patterns on models.
To apply a render material to a part or face,
1. Select parts or faces in the viewport.
2. Click the Materials tab in the Rendering Browser.
3. Right-click the render material you wish to apply and select Apply to Model, or drag the render material and drop it in the viewport.
Newly assigned render materials replace existing ones.
*
If you select no parts or faces before assigning a render material, the Assign Render Material dialog opens.
Adjust the Rendering Settings to define defaults for rendering materials.
So long as the render material does not belong to a license-protected third-party archive, Creo Elements/Direct Modeling assigns average color and transparency values to the model. These are used when the Creo Elements/Direct Rendering is inactive.
