How do you want to install your system?
Express Install
Select Express Install if you are new to Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server, or want the typical installation when installing all of the Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server components on the same computer. The Express installation:
• Checks your system for prerequisites (memory, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, Microsoft Data Access Components).
• Checks your system for Microsoft SQL Server 2019, Microsoft SQL Server 2017, Oracle 12c, or Oracle 19c.
◦ If none of the database software is installed, it installs Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Express Edition.
◦ If Microsoft SQL Server 2019 is installed, it is used.
◦ If Microsoft SQL Server 2017 is installed, it is used.
◦ If only Oracle 12c is installed, it is used.
◦ If only Oracle 19c is installed, it is used.
• Installs Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server components.
What components are installed with the Express installation?
◦ Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server Client
◦ File Server
◦ Database Server
◦ Web Services Server, including the Job Spooler Server.
◦ Software Distribution Server
You install Job Servers independently from this installation. See Install Creo Elements/Direct Job Server for more information.
 | • The Express installation is not the right choice if you have multiple distributed File Server components, or want your database engine on a separate computer from the Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server components. • If the File Server and the Database Server are installed on different machines, then the File Server must be up and running to prevent any error messages. |
Custom Install
Select Custom Install if you want to choose which components to install and where to install them. This is recommended for Advanced users.
