Import eDrawings
You can import eDrawings™ files from your local file system into the database.
When you manually import and save your eDrawings, Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager manages these files as independent items in the database, so you can
• assign specific attributes,
• view and edit DB Properties,
• version your eDrawings as separate files, and
• manage your eDrawings with their own lifecycle management.
To import an eDrawings file associated with a project, folder, packet, or Masterdata element:
1. Select a project, folder, packet, or Masterdata, click
Home and then, in the
Edit group, click the arrow next to
Add New.
2. Click eDrawings. Alternatively, right-click and, in the shortcut menu, click > . The New eDrawings dialog box opens.
3. Select the file from your file system and fill in optional fields.
4. Click OK.
To import an independent eDrawings file:
1. Click > > . The New eDrawings dialog box opens.
2. Select the file from the file system and fill in optional fields.
3. Click OK.
You can link the imported eDrawings file to a project, packet, or folder with copy and paste or drag and drop.
