Search for data
You can easily search for data stored in the Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server database. You can search from the Search tab in the Workspace window.

The results of your search only includes items that you have permission to view or edit.

To search for data:
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager, click the Search tab in the Workspace bar.
2. Select the type of data (such as drawings, packets, or 3D models) to search in the What do you want to search for? list.
3. The remaining fields are dynamically updated to reflect the information stored for the type of data you select.
4. Type your search string(s) in the field(s) you would like to search. You may use the asterisk (*) or question mark (?) as a wildcard character.
5. Click Search to perform your search.
The results of your search are displayed in the information panel.
To set parameters on searches:
Parameter queries are useful when you save searches that are run often but have parameters that change each time.
To define parameter queries:
1. Create a Search.
2. Define parameter queries within brackets [ ]. For example, type [ Enter name ] for the name parameter.
3. Click Search.
4. A dialog box prompts you for information defined in your parameter queries; enter this information and press enter.
