A stock/finish relation allows you to manage different related product states in the design and manufacturing process.
Creo Elements/Direct Modeling allows you to define the relationship between the stock and finished parts of an assembly in a single step. You can also permanently store the stock/finish relation in Creo Elements/DirectModel Manager.
A stock part can have many finished parts, but a finished part can have only one stock part. You can have a chained stock/finish relation. For example, a finished part in a stock/finish relation can be a stock part for another stock/finish relation. A stock/finish relation is always attached to the finished part in the Creo Elements/Direct Modeling Structure Browser and has a shared stock part. A stock/finish relationship is represented by
If an assembly has a stock/finish relation, the DB Properties window shows a Stock/Finished tab. From the DB Properties menu you can load all the finished parts for a specific stock part or load the stock part for a specific finished part.
