Load a drawing
*
You are running Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager outside of Creo Elements/Direct Drafting. If you want to save changes, Start and stop Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager from Creo Elements/Direct Drafting.
If the Load option is grayed out, you do not have a program installed that can load drawings. You must have Creo Elements/Direct Drafting, Modeling, or Creo Elements/Direct 2D Access installed on your system to load drawings.
Drawings are loaded to the application specified in the Windows registry on your computer. See your system administrator if a different application is launched than you expected.
Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager allows you to load drawings. You can also load different versions of drawings.
To load a drawing from Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager:
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager right-click the drawing to be loaded, and click Load, or click Load with > Drafting. Alternatively, double-click the drawing. The Drawing Manager Load dialog box opens.
*
If you choose to double-click the drawing, the Drawing Manager Load dialog box opens only if you have selected the Show load UI for 2D (Double click) option in the Preferences dialog box. For more information, see Change your preferences.
2. In the Drawing Manager Load dialog box, click Load.
3. Click Confirm in the Creo Elements/Direct Drafting menu. The selected drawing is now loaded in Creo Elements/Direct Drafting.
*
Drawings that were originally created in Creo Elements/Direct Annotation will have the word ANNO after the file name at the top of the window.
