Copy Masterdata to another Masterdata
You can copy a Masterdata when you want the same Masterdata to appear in multiple locations. Each instance of the Masterdata refers to the same, original Masterdata.
When you copy a Masterdata to another Masterdata, Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager automatically
copies the item,
assigns position numbers according to your current position number settings, and
applies default values to other link attributes.
Unlike Duplicate Masterdata, you're not creating a new Masterdata object, you're simply creating a link between one Masterdata and another.
To copy Masterdata,
1. In your Workspace or in the BOM Editor, select a Masterdata you want to copy into another Masterdata. Use Ctrl to select multiple items.
2. To copy the Masterdata, you can
Copy/Cut and paste
Drag and drop (single select only)
In the BOM Editor, use Add Existing Masterdata.
If you want to copy Masterdata with its source link attributes, see Copy Masterdata with BOM attributes.
