Copy Masterdata with BOM attributes
When you copy Masterdata, you can leverage existing BOM data. Use Copy with BOM attributes when you copy a child Masterdata from one parent assembly to another Masterdata assembly. You'll copy the item with its parent link attributes, including the Quantity, Options, View, Effectivity and any other link attributes defined in its current parent context.
Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager can only Copy with BOM attributes when it can identify the parent context of the child Masterdata you want to copy. When Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager cannot identify the parent context, Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager will copy the Masterdata, but it will assign default values to the link attributes.
In order to use Copy with BOM attributes, you or your administrator must first enable the Show Copy BOM attributes dialog preference in the Preferences dialog box.
To copy Masterdata with BOM attributes,
1. In your Workspace or in the BOM Editor, select a Masterdata you want to copy into another Masterdata. Use Ctrl to select multiple items.
