Import eDrawings
You can import eDrawings™ files from your local file system into the database.
When you manually import and save your eDrawings, Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager manages these files as independent items in the database, so you can
assign specific attributes,
view and edit DB Properties,
version your eDrawings as separate files, and
manage your eDrawings with their own lifecycle management.
To import an eDrawings file associated with a project, folder, packet, or Masterdata element:
1. Select a project, folder, packet, or Masterdata, click Home and then, in the Edit group, click the arrow next to Add New.
2. Click eDrawings. Alternatively, right-click and, in the shortcut menu, click Add New > eDrawings. The New eDrawings dialog box opens.
3. Select the file from your file system and fill in optional fields.
4. Click OK.
To import an independent eDrawings file:
1. Click File > New > eDrawings. The New eDrawings dialog box opens.
2. Select the file from the file system and fill in optional fields.
3. Click OK.
You can link the imported eDrawings file to a project, packet, or folder with copy and paste or drag and drop.
eDrawings™ is a trademark of SolidWorks Corporation.
