Creo Elements/Direct Drafting now supports multi-sheet drawings. Multi-sheet drawings are stored in a single .mi file and are therefore easier to handle and manage.
The new Multi-Sheet Manager user interface gives a consolidated access to manage the various sheets. It offers the following commands and capabilities:
• New Sheet
• Delete Sheet
• View Sheet
• Swap Sheet
• Sheet Properties
• Rearrange
• Activate Drawing
• Refresh
The Part Browser shows SHEET as the prefix for parts representing a sheet. Managed sheets are all attached as nodes within the top node in the drawing data structure.
Data management integration capabilities with Model Manager or Windchill Workgroup Manager include frames handling and title block updates which essentially work as earlier. As a multi-sheet drawing is represented in a single .mi file, it is a single object in the database, which streamlines the object management.
Benefits
• Increased usability
• Easier file and document management for multi-sheet drawings
