Use the Drawing Browser
There are two browsers in Creo Elements/Direct Annotation:
The standard Structure Browser.
The Drawing Browser (Browser Bar), unique to Creo Elements/Direct Annotation.
To open the browsers
1. In 3D Access-Annotation, on the Browser Bar, click either (Structure Browser) or (Drawing Browser).
Both browsers work in the same way; the difference is that the Drawing Browser shows information about sheets, views, frames, and sketches, while the Structure Browser shows view sets and views with their owning assemblies and parts.
The Drawing Browser uses the following structure:
Drawing
The unique top level of the current Creo Elements/Direct Annotation drawing.
Sheets
Anchored to the drawing. The first entity belonging to a sheet is its frame type.
Views
All types, listed alphabetically under their owning sheets.
Additionally,
Sketches are shown attached to their owners.
Section lines and detail, partial and cutaway borders are shown attached to their parent views in the browser tree. The views themselves appear in the main view list.
The icons in the browser are color-coded to indicate certain properties of the drawing elements:
The active sheet's name is displayed in green.
An updated view's name is displayed in dark blue.
The name of a view which needs updating is displayed in cyan, as long as its associated model is loaded in Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access.
A view which cannot be updated (because the model is not loaded) finds its name displayed in red.
*
You can change the active sheet in the Drawing Browser by clicking the icon of the sheet to be made active.
To select a view for an operation:
1. Using the Drawing Browser, select the name of a sheet, view, frame, or sketch.
2. Click Apply.
