Use the Catch Tool
Catch is a tool that is used to specify what your cursor catches (or snaps) to.
Creo Elements/Direct Annotation displays the active catch setting as follows:
In the bottom left area of the user interface
The catch setting at start-up is All.
Creo Elements/Direct Annotation sets a default catch automatically, but sometimes you may need to change this catch mode (for example, to catch to the center of a line).
To display the catch option box
1. Click 3D Access — Annotation and then, in the Window group, click the arrow next to Toolbars.
2. Click Catch.
3. Or, select Catch on the Status Bar.
4. Repeat this to close the option box.
You can control which catch settings are used as default by clicking the box in the middle of the Catch toolbar.
To set the catch mode:
For all subsequent operations, click Permanent.
For the next click only, click Next Catch.
*
The Permanent catch mode is used in all subsequent operations that catch to elements of the drawing. Take care when changing these settings. It is recommended that you change the default catch settings only for temporary, repetitive operations, and then change them back again when you are finished.
