Move faces
You can move faces or recognized features (holes, bosses or pockets) belonging to parts. You can move them using a variety of methods, such as translating, rotating, or changing a dimension. You can also copy recognized features and reposition them.
*
Bosses and pockets must be embedded in one face to be recognized as a feature.
A face cannot be moved to a new location within the same plane.
To move a face
Moving a face by dragging
1. Click Move 3D on the Modeling Commands tool bar.
2. Click . The Move dialog box opens.
3. Specify the faces to move using one of the following ways:
Click a face to specify just one face. The Position dialog box opens.
Use the Select dialog box to specify several faces.
4. If any blends will be affected by the move, click Redo Blends and click the blends that will be affected. Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access will recalculate these blends so they smoothly fit into the modification.
5. If necessary, click Transform Objects to display the Position dialog box. In addition to the standard positioning options (see 3D Use the 3D CoPilot) the following are also available:

6. Click one of the positioning options or click the pointer and drag the face to the required position.
Follow the prompts to specify the information needed by a positioning option.
Most positioning options are general options repeated in the Position operation (parts and assemblies). For further information about these positioning options, see Position parts and assemblies.
7. At this stage, you have three choices:
Click Preview to see the changes before accepting them. The affected faces will be shown in the preview highlight color. You can still modify the move at this point.
Click to complete the operation.
Click Next to move the face without closing the option box. Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access will re-use information (transformation option and other options) that you used in the first move. You can specify different faces or change the transformation.
