1. Click Analysis and then, in the Measure group, click the arrow next to Direction.
2. Click Axis 3D. The Measure Output dialog box opens.
3. You now have two choices for measuring the vertical axis:
◦ To specify the vertical axis with the positive V direction, click Vertical.
◦ To specify the vertical axis with the negative V direction, click -Vertical.
4. Define the axis point by specifying a U-coordinate. The viewer displays the axis point (relative to the global coordinate system origin) and direction in the two sets of X, Y, and Z fields.
5. You can click further measure options, or click to complete the operation.
