Measure the direction of the view in a viewport
To measure the direction of the view in a viewport
1. Click
Analysis and then, in the
Measure group, click the arrow next to
Direction.
2. Click
Direction 3D. The
Measure Output dialog box opens with X, Y, and Z fields.
3. You now have two choices for measuring the view direction:
◦ For the direction going into the screen, right-click the viewport and select Vp Dir.
◦ For the direction coming out of the screen, right-click the viewport and select -Vp Dir.
4. Specify the viewport by clicking anywhere in the viewport. The viewer displays the direction in the X, Y, and Z fields.
5. You can click further measure options, or click
to complete the operation.
