To measure one direction of the local workplane axes (U,V,W)
This option measures the direction vectors corresponding to U, V, W, -U, -V, or -W (the local workplane coordinate axes) relative to the global coordinate system.
1. Click Analysis and then, in the Measure group, click the arrow next to Direction.
2. Click Direction 3D. The Measure Output dialog box opens with X, Y, and Z fields.
3. If necessary, specify a new reference workplane by right-clicking the viewport, selecting WP System > Ref WP and specifying a workplane.
4. Click one of the options: U, V, W, -U, -V, or -W. The viewer displays the direction in the X, Y, and Z fields.
5. You can click further measure options, or click to complete the operation.
