Measure one direction of the global coordinate axes (X, Y, Z)
To measure one direction of the global coordinate axes (X,Y,Z):
This option measures the direction vectors corresponding to X, Y, Z, -X, -Y, or -Z (the global coordinate axes).
1. Click Analysis and then, in the Measure group, click the arrow next to Direction.
2. Click Direction 3D. The Measure Output dialog box opens with X, Y, and Z fields.
3. Right-click the viewport and select XYZ System and then select one of X, Y, Z, -X, -Y, or -Z. The viewer displays the direction in the X, Y, and Z fields.
4. You can click further measure options, or click to complete the operation.
