Measure the axis of a cylinder, cone, or torus
To measure the axis of a cylinder, cone, or torus
You can measure the axis of symmetry of a cylinder, cone, or torus as well as measure both partial and full cylinders, cones, and tori.
1. Click Analysis and then, in the Measure group, click the arrow next to Direction.
2. Click Axis 3D. The Measure Output dialog box opens.
3. Specify the cylindrical, conical, or toroidal face. The viewer highlights the axis.
4. You now have two choices:
If the direction of the axis is correct, click Accept.
If you want the opposite direction, click Reverse.
Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access displays the axis point and direction in the two sets of X, Y, and Z fields.
You can click further measure options, or click to complete the operation.
