To measure one axis of the global coordinate axes (X,Y,Z)
This option measures the axis corresponding to X, Y, Z and -X, -Y, -Z (the global coordinate axes).
1. Click Analysis and then, in the Measure group, click the arrow next to Direction.
2. Click Axis 3D. The Measure Output dialog box opens.
3. Right-click the viewport and select XYZ System and then one of X, Y, Z, -X, -Y, or -Z. The viewer displays the axis point (the global coordinate system origin) and direction in the two sets of X, Y, and Z fields.
