Measure the 3D direction of an edge tangent
To measure the 3D direction of an edge tangent
1. Click
Analysis and then, in the
Measure group, click the arrow next to
Direction.
2. Click
Direction 3D. The
Measure Output dialog box opens with X, Y, and Z fields.
3. Right-click the viewport and select Edge Tangent.
4. Click a point on the edge. The viewer highlights the edge.
5. You now have two choices:
◦ If the direction of the edge is correct, click Apply.
◦ If you want the opposite direction, click Apply Reverse.
The viewer displays the direction in the X, Y, and Z boxes.
6. You can click further measure options, or click
to complete the operation.
