You can sort and search specific clash issues, or manually change their status as you refine your assembly.
To see and edit clash issue properties after running a clash analysis, right-click the clash analysis icon in the Structure Browser. Click Show Clash Issue Browser. The Clash Analysis Issue Browser appears.
Right-click and click Docked to display the Clash Analysis Issue Browser in the Structure Browser window. Click the bottom tabs to switch between the Clash Browser and the Structure Browser.
If you have multiple clash analysis results, use the Structure Browser to control which clash analysis you display.
Sort and search clash issues
The Clash Analysis Issue Browser toolbar contains
• Search: define a new search to find a specific clash issue, type, or status. The matching results are highlighted in the clash issue browser. Click the search icon to toggle the search criteria on and off. Save the search if you want to use it in a later session.
• Filter: filter issue results by type or status to see only touching parts, or only unresolved issues. The configuration filter displays only issues caused by configuration-specific part positions. Define a new filter to find a specific issue, or to display only issues inherited from a previous version. Click the filter icon to toggle the filter criteria on and off. Save the filter if you want to use it in a later session.
• Configuration: view a list of all configurations included in the clash analysis calculation. Click a specific configuration to see only the issues associated with that configuration.
If you are running clash analysis with one or more configurations, an Inherited column appears. A Yes in this column indicates that the clash issue and status are present in other positions.
Click the column header to sort data in ascending or descending order.
• Apply Selection. Select one or more issues to apply them as input in an open operation dialog.
• Draw Only the affected parts in the current viewport.
• Draw Only the affected parts in a new viewport. Use the Window group to manage multiple viewports.
• Recalculate the selected issue. Recalculated issues appear in a second viewport with touching areas in yellow and clashing areas in red. Use recalculate to check a part modification. If a change is detected, the clash issue status changes to Modified. The entire analysis must be recalculated in order to change an issue status to Solved.
• Search and highlight the selected clash analysis or parts in the Structure Browser.
• Remove the selected issue. You can only remove issues with the status Ignored or Solved.
• Edit the clash issue Properties, including issue status.
Edit clash issue properties
• The Open status is the original issue status after a clash analysis calculation. You can set this status to Accepted if you decide to ignore this clash, and write your reason in the Note section.
• If a part is originally included in the analysis, but later excluded, the status automatically changes to Ignored, and the reason changes to Part Excluded.
• If one or both parts of the original issue no longer exist, the status changes to Incomplete.
To clear all issues in an analysis, right-click the analysis in the Structure Browser and click Clear Issues. This will erase the calculation, as well as all manual status issue changes and notes.
