The customer-hosted Codebeamer AI runs on Azure AI Foundry. It supports Azure deployment types provided by Microsoft, including Global Standard and Data Zone Standard, where available.

In APAC regions, Azure currently provides Global Standard deployments only. Azure Data Zone Standard deployments are available only in the US and EU regions.

Customer-hosted deployment does not restrict the use of Data Zone Standard deployments. If Azure introduces Data Zone availability in APAC regions in the future, customer-hosted deployment can operate in those environments without requiring product changes.

Currently, Azure does not provide Data Zone availability in APAC regions.

As a result, APAC customers use Azure Global Standard deployments. Global Standard deployments do not guarantee that AI inference processing is restricted to a specific country or regional data zone.

This behavior is a limitation of the Azure platform.
