Assign Items to Groups
If you group by a reference field and move an item from one group to another, the item will be automatically assigned to the group where you drop the item. For example, the reference field that you use for Group by, will be updated for the moved item.
To create a new Group Item:
1. Click +New Group Item next to the table headers.
2. Select the tracker for the new item .The project and tracker list will vary depending on what you used for grouping and the field configurations of the affected trackers.
3. Click Next.
4. Set the proper data and save the new item.
5. You can now move items below the new item .The items will be automatically assigned to the new item.

If you do not immediately assign an item to the new group item after creating it, it will disappear after the next operation.
* 
If you have items in the Release planner from multiple trackers, assignments cannot be made due to the item’s filed configuration.
