Touchup processing instructions
Touchup processing instructions provide local formatting instructions for a document. They tell the system how to format the text between the Touchup tags. These processing instructions are primarily used for touching up the final formatting output of your document.
Touchup processing instructions can also be used to configure the online display of a document. They provide control over font characteristics such as size and color (for screen display), line and page breaking, horizontal spacing, and combined control of settings.
If the Touchup markup surrounds other tags containing format specifications, such as a title tag, the inner tag format overrides the surrounding Touchup markup, so no changes take place. To be effective, Touchup markup must be inserted inside other tags.

If you plan to export your document to a different system, you may not want to use Touchup processing instructions. Other systems may not be able to interpret them as they are specific to Arbortext Editor. Use write –nopi filename to copy a document without processing instructions.
