Checking Completeness and Context Overview
Arbortext Editor validates document structures based on the associated document type at the following times:
• Opening new documents not created in Arbortext Editor
• Saving documents
• Editing documents
Arbortext Editor has two levels of document structure validation: context checking and checking for completeness. Arbortext Editor does context checking interactively while you create the document by not permitting you to insert elements or text at invalid locations. Since context checking is usually on, you need not worry about creating a structurally invalid document.
Checking completeness is not done automatically. You invoke a completeness check through the > menu choice or the associated toolbar button. If Arbortext Editor detects any issues during the completeness check, they are reported in the Completeness Check Log window.
