Controlling the Appearance of Compare Results
You can control the appearance of Compare results output through Tools > Preferences and choosing Compare. Arbortext Editor uses the options when constructing the compare results output, showing the differences between the source and target documents.
Marker types highlighting the differences can be either processing instructions or tags. All changes are displayed within marker pairs.
Show Insert with Underline — Displays the added content as underlined. The changes are displayed using the background color selected from the drop down color palette
Show Delete with Strikethrough — displays the deleted content as strikethrough. The changes are displayed using the background color selected from the drop down color palette
Show Attribute Changes — compares the tag attributes as well as the tags themselves. If the value of an attribute has changed, the change is included in the comparison. The changes are displayed using the background color selected from the drop down color palette

If you are viewing tables graphically in the results document, some table markup changes may not be apparent. To be certain you are viewing all your table tag attribute changes, you can use View > Tables > Table Markup to see the table in markup view.
Compare Entities — Determines whether entities are expanded and the content is evaluated. If you select Compare Entities, any text and file entities are expanded and the differences in the expanded content are displayed in the Compare window. If the Compare document is subsequently saved, expanded entity content is saved as flattened text; that is, the entity content is substituted for the entity reference in the saved file. If this option isn't selected, then the entity references are compared but not the entity content. The saved document would contain only the entity references.
