Create Hyperlink Dialog Box
Creates a link from one point in a document to another point in the same document. For example, you can link a reference and its graphic, table, or instruction list. You can use the links to move through the document. You can move backward and forward through links or add temporary links while editing information.
|
Hyperlink features are being deprecated in Arbortext Editor. However, if you still need to use hyperlinks, you can add the Create Hyperlink, Delete Hyperlink, and Show Hyperlinks selections to the Tools menu using the set hyperlinkmenus command.
|
This option is available only when full menus are activated. From the menu bar, choose ToolsPreferences, and select Full Menus on the Windows tab.
To create a hyperlink:
1. Place the cursor at the starting location for a link and highlight one or more words (for example, text explaining how to use the link or indicating the link destination). This text appears underlined once the link is set. If you highlight a tag, be sure to include both start and end tags.
2. Choose Tools→Create Hyperlink . An instruction window appears.
3. Follow the instructions to move the cursor to the target destination.
4. In the instruction window, click OK to insert the target tag.
