Object Properties Dialog Box
The Object Properties dialog box displays when you highlight an object in the Browser and select either Object > Properties or the Properties button. You can also open the dialog from Arbortext Editor by placing the cursor inside of an object and selecting Object > Object Properties. Use this dialog box to view the properties of a PTC Server object. You cannot view the properties of a PTC Server folder.
If you view the properties of an object when you are working offline from the PTC Server, only a subset of the object properties might be available. Some of those properties will contain the status of the object when you disconnected from the PTC Server and might not reflect the current object properties on the server.
The Object Properties dialog box provides the following default information:
Name — The name of the object in the PTC Server.
Number — The number of the object in the PTC Server.
Folder — The folder where the object is stored in the PTC Server.
Logical ID — The unique identifier for the object in the PTC Server.
Create Date — The date and time the object was added to the PTC Server.
Created by — The user name of the person who added the object to the PTC Server.
Last Update — The date and time the object was last updated in the PTC Server.
Updated by — The user name of the person who last updated the object in the PTC Server.
Shared Status — Whether the object has been shared.
Lock Status — Whether the object is currently checked out, and, if checked out, the user name of the person who checked it out.
Lifecycle State — The life cycle state of the object.
Modification Status — Whether the object has been modified since it was checked out into the active workspace.
Out of Date Status — Whether the version of the object in the active workspace is not the one the configuration specification would now select as the most recent version of the object.
Version — The revision and iteration of the object (for example, A.1).
Object Type — The type of the object. XML document objects and associated dependant objects such as graphics are the Dynamic Document object type.
Contains other objects — Whether the object has associated dependant objects.
Security labels — Any security labels assigned to the object.
If your site has implemented security labels, the security labels assigned to the object and their current values are displayed after the default object properties.
If some of the properties are changed through the PTC Server HTML interface, the Object Properties dialog box displays those changes after you refresh the Browser view.
