Arbortext offers several optional feature sets that can be combined to deliver product configurations suitable for your specific environment. To determine which options you currently have installed and licensed on your workstation, select Help > About Arbortext Editor > Session.
The following options are available.
Print Composer option — Produces printed output, including PDF, and apply XSL and XSLT stylesheets to XML documents. For further information on the Print Composer option, refer to the Print Composer option.
Web/Wireless Composer option — Creates browser-readable, multiple-file documents complete with tables of contents and indexes. For further information on the Web/Wireless Composer option, refer to the Web/Wireless Composer option.
Arbortext Styler — Creates simple to complex stylesheets for display in Arbortext Editor and publishing to multiple outputs. Installing Arbortext Styler enables local publishing.
Arbortext Import/Export — Lets you import Word, FrameMaker, and other document types into XML and export XML documents to RTF to be opened in any application capable of opening RTF documents. For further information, refer to Arbortext Import/Export Overview.
To see which optional components are available for your use, refer to the Arbortext Editor Session information available by selecting Help > Session.
You can send publishing requests to the Arbortext Publishing Engine, using Arbortext Publishing Engine to publish documents in the same manner you would locally. Enable Arbortext Publishing Engine in the Publishing Engine panel of the Preferences dialog box (go to Tools > Preferences). The Print Composer and Web/Wireless Composer product options must be licensed on the Arbortext PE server. Refer to Using Arbortext Publishing Engine for publishing documents for more information.
If your Arbortext Editor installation has Arbortext Styler or appropriate licensing for the Print Composer and Web/Wireless Composer options, you can switch back to local publishing at any time by clearing the box for Use Publishing Engine.
