Page And Document Sequence Control
Introduction
The use of document and page sequences is the most flexible way to specify the required page layout for a document. The feature was originally added to PTC Arbortext Layout Developer to meet page sequence requirements for XSL-FO, but has since developed into a more powerful tool that forms the basis of Arbortext Styler’s remodeled page set functionality.
There are three parts to this feature:
• The document sequence control stream (tag type .ds) that specifies a document’s page sequences
• The page sequence control stream (tag type .ps) that specifies the page layouts that will be applied in a page sequence
• The inline commands to call the required page sequence
This functionality is exposed in Arbortext Styler through page object source edits, providing a way to extend traditional page sets.
