Cutting a Selected Region from an Equation
After you have selected a region of an equation in the Equation Editor window, you can copy or cut it from the Equation Editor window in a number of ways.
1. Highlight the region you want to cut.
2. Then, use any of the following methods to cut:
a. Choose Cut from the Equation Editor shortcut menu.
b. Press BACKSPACE or DELETE.
c. BACKSPACE and DELETE cut only highlighted regions; if you use one of these keys to remove an item surrounded by the marker, you will not be able to paste that item back.
d. Press F2 to bring up the response panel. In the response panel entry field, enter cut, then click on OK.
e. If you have the default keyboard shortcuts, press CTRL +X.
