Create Publishing Rule File Dialog Box
In this dialog box, choose the rule file Directory from the list. The list displays the valid rule file locations where you can write rule files. Next, enter a rule file Name. You will also need to enter a Unique ID for the rule file.
The list of directories are determined by the locations where you are allowed to save rule files. These may include a custom\publishingrules directory and your home directory (as specified by your HOME environment variable).
You can see all rule file locations by choosing Help > Session and finding the entry for Rule file path on the Session tab. This path list contains both read and write file paths. If you don’t see a rule file directory in the Directory list that you expect to see, you may not have write access to it.
A publishing rule file has the file extension .prcf. Remember that a rule file can contain both rules and rule sets, and that those rules and rule sets can be either local or server within the same publishing rule file.
