Publish Using Rule Dialog Box
In this dialog box, choose a publishing rule or rule set and output file name or output directory. If Queue Transaction is checked, Output Directory or Output File are not available and View Result is not available. You'll be prompted for those when you retrieve the results from Arbortext Publishing Engine. For information on queuing, consult Using Arbortext Publishing Engine for Publishing Documents.
The rules and rule sets in the Select Rule list are going to be either server or local rules:
If you are using Arbortext Publishing Engine for publishing documents, the rules in the list were created for use with the Arbortext PE server. Local rules are ignored.
If you are using Arbortext Styler or a Print Composer or Web/Wireless Composer license, the rules in the list were created for local use. Server rules are ignored.
You can click the Name, Type, and Description column headings to sort the list by the entries in that column.
New— Opens the Create New Publishing Rule dialog box.
View Details — Opens the Publishing Rule Details window.
Output Directory — Specify the directory where you want the results saved. Click Browse to choose a directory.
Output File — Specify the directory and file name where you want the results saved. Click Browse to choose a directory.
Queue Transaction — Choosing Queue Transaction clears Output Directory or Output File and View Result. Checking this box means you will be prompted for the Output Directory or Output File and whether to view results when you retrieve it from your list of Queued Transactions, available from the Tools menu.
If you entered values in these fields, you can display them again if you clear the Queue Transaction check box. Queue Transaction behavior is controlled by a set of Arbortext Publishing Engine preferences.
Transaction Name — Choosing to Queue Transaction enables you to enter a transaction name. The transaction name will be displayed when you retrieve the result from your list of Queued Transactions, available from the Tools menu.
You can enter transaction names to use by default or for specific output types by entering values in the Queued Transaction Names Dialog Box.
If one of your rules publishes a DITA map and Change Tracking is on, Changes Applied is selected by default.
