Check In Dialog Box
The Check In dialog box displays when you select Object > Check In Object in Arbortext Editor. Use this dialog to check in changes you have made to an object and any dependant objects. You can also use this dialog box to create a baseline for the checked in object.
The Check In dialog box contains the following options:
Check In Comments — Enables you to enter any comments you want associated with the checked in object.
Keep objects checked out — Indicates whether the object should continue to be locked for editing once it is checked in.
Note that if the Keep objects checked out option is not checked, the document object that appears in Arbortext Editor will be read-only.
Remove From Workspace — Indicates that you want to remove all objects you are checking in from your workspace.
Depending on the setting of the RemoveObjectFromWorkspaceAfterCheckIn parameter in the userprefs.xml configuration file, this option might be enabled by default.
Check in all modified dependents — Indicates that you want to check in all modified objects that are dependent on the current object.
If the object you are checking in is a DITA map or other document that references or contains dependent objects, then you can choose to check in any dependent objects that have been modified in the same operation.
Create baseline — Indicates that you want to create a baseline on the PTC Server for the checked in object.
Selecting this option enables the next two options.
Baseline Name — Enables you to enter the name of the baseline.
A default name based on your PTC Sever user name and the current date and time might be provided.
Baseline Folder — Enables you to specify the folder where the baseline will be stored in the PTC Server.
A default folder based on the PTC Server folder settings might be provided.
Browse This graphic shows the Browse button. — Enables you to change the default folder where the baseline is created.
Selecting this button invokes the Browser. Highlight a folder in the Browser and select Use Selection to change the default folder.
