The Repository Directory
The Repository Directory contains three required subdirectories which must reside together as sibling subdirectories of the Repository Directory. For example, if the Repository Directory resides is
c:\custom\importexport
then the subdirectories
c:\custom\importexport\STDTemplates
c:\custom\importexport\TargetSchemas
c:\custom\importexport\XSLT
must exist for the Import Workbench to function properly.
The location of the Repository Directory can be changed by choosing Tools > System Preferences Editor However, PTC recommends that a single unique Repository Directory be used by a MapTemplate developer. Sites with multiple departments performing MapTemplate development may find it appropriate to use entirely separate configurations.
The Repository Directory has the following contents:
<RepositoryDirectory>\STDTemplates
Contains MapTemplate files and (optionally) directories of MapTemplate files.
<RepositoryDirectory>\TargetSchemas
Contains XML files which are compiled versions of target DTDs and schemas. These files are built on demand when using the Import Workbench.
<RepositoryDirectory>\XSLT
Contains XSLT files required by the Import Workbench.
See the following overview for suggested best practices regarding project, repository, and configuration directories.
