The Import Configuration Directory
The Import Configuration directory contains files supporting the configuration, initialization, and execution of the Import Workbench. Each MapTemplate developer may have a different Import Configuration directory. Arbortext Import/Export determines the default location of the Import Configuration directory for the current user in the following manner:
1. If the variable APTIMPORTEXPORTHOME is defined as an ACL global variable or system environment variable and it specifies a valid read-write path on the system, then the value is used as the default location for the Import Configuration directory.
2. If APTIMPORTEXPORTHOME is not defined, the value of the home global variable is used. This is typically, c:\Documents and Settings\<username> (where <username> is the user's login name).
3. Arbortext Import/Export verifies the default Import Configuration directory contains an \importexport\config subdirectory. Contents of the subdirectory are not verified. If the \importexport\config subdirectory does not exist, it and its contents are created.
When the user changes a value using the Import Workbench System Preferences editor, the Import Workbench modifies XYZ_SysPrefs.xml in the \importexport\config subdirectory.
