Arbortext Layout Developer offers the ability to use CSS to specify styling and page layout for XML content streams. This functionality provides a number of ways to associate the CSS stylesheet with XML streams which then drives text formatting alongside the other methods of tag matching and context matching.

To provide this support, three new system files are included in the installation of ALD, ALE and Arbortext Publishing Engine. These will be described in their own section.
