Introduction
In the 12.1.0.0 release we have taken the opportunity to make some minor enhancements to the pseudo font feature. This is the feature which allows template developers to create a virtual font within their template which uses system fonts for different characters or character sets. For example, a document might be produced in English, Cyrillic, Japanese and Arabic but no single system font can cover all those character sets satisfactorily. Pseudo fonts can specify different system fonts for each character set and allow that font to be applied as though it is a single font.
The features added to pseudo fonts in 12.1.0.0 are:
Subfont scaling — specify the relative height and width of the subfonts
Pseudo bold and italic behaviour for the pseudo font
Calling a specific glyph rather than a character
