<?tvjpbot>
Description
Specifies a vertical justification priority for a paragraph: for the maximum space that can be added to the bottom margin of a paragraph when the paragraph is not the last item in a column. Use in conjunction with the <?tvjmbot> command, which sets the measure of the space required.
Syntax
<?tvjpbot vj priority:n?>
<?tvjpbot>
[no parameter]
Invoke the Vert. justification - bottom priority dialog box.
vj priority
The priority: a number between 0 and 9 with the extremes as detailed below:
0
Top priority: the first position to receive extra space
9
Lowest priority: the last position to receive space
Default value: 3.
Additional Information
If you specify a maximum margin stretch with a low priority, this space will only be added if all other higher priority space has been allocated. When space does come to be inserted then it will be limited to the amount you have specified.
If extra space has already been inserted so that all the maximum margin stretch values have been reached, and the text still does not fill out the column depth, then further space will still be added. This space will even override the maximum stretch that has been specified. Space will continue to be added to the column, taking into account the priority values and adding space in the same ratio as the maximum stretch amount. If, for instance, three positions had 'stretch values' of 30mm, 20mm and 10mm, even more space could be inserted in a 3:2:1 ratio.
Similarly, if there are several positions that have the same priority value, then the maximum margin stretch values will be inserted as ratios of one another.
