Manual Page Manipulation
The WYSIWYG view (see WYSIWYG View) of the PTC ALD interface, plus its menus, dialogs and icons, is a print view of the document or template being manipulated. This allows PTC ALD to function in a similar way to a DTP application, in that desktop users can make manual changes to a document that was created via an automated composition process. Changes can be made either by using ALD’s proprietary syntax or via JavaScript with reference to the application objects defined in the Formatting Object Model (FOM).
