Search Tab
Once you have performed a search in the search pane, the results are displayed on the Search tab Image. This tab contains a list of topics that match your search query.
You can sort your search results by either relevance or by the position of the topic in the table of contents with the Sorted by drop-down list on the Search tab. If you view the search results by relevance, each result has a brief excerpt from the beginning of the topic below the search result. Search terms are highlighted in the excerpt.
Click on the search result topic link to open the associated topic in the view pane. Each search term in a topic is highlighted by default, and you can navigate through the topic using the search terms.
Search term highlighting
Terms you enter in the Search field are highlighted in the topics displayed from the Search tab. If you enter multiple search terms, each term in a search result topic is highlighted in a different color. The Help Center supports highlighting for up to ten search terms.
You can also navigate through a topic using the highlighted search terms. To navigate forward through the search terms, either click on a term or press the TAB key. To navigate backward through the search terms, either press CTRL and click on the term or press SHIFT + TAB.
 Note
You can customize search term highlighting on the Configuration tab.
