You can create, search for, test, and publish packages from using the ThingWorx Software Content Management utility.

A “package” is a set of instructions are sent to devices for execution. Packages can include a Lua script file that contains installation and roll-back instructions. The ThingWorx Lua script API can be consulted for all the operations that are possible on the Edge Micro server. A Wait instruction allows you to set a time period during which certain conditions must be met before the instructions are executed. (Not all devices can process all of these instructions.)

Packages allow service technicians to upload log files, project developers to download revised project files or upgrades to devices, and administrators to run scripts to perform maintenance on assets.
