Organization Utilities
Organizations > Utilities displays the utilities available for performing administrative actions at the organization level. The utilities links on Organizations > Utilities launch the utilities in the organization context; objects that are created at the organization level are stored at the organization level.
The following tables define the utilities that may be available from the Utilities page. The utilities that are available depend on which Windchill solution you have installed.
The utilities are grouped according to whether they are system administration, business administration, or auditing administration utilities.
System Administration
The system administration links provide access to the administration of your environment in the organization context, such as data exchange or content replication. These links are described below:

This utility allows you to download light-weight file server installers and manage file servers.
(Windchill PDMLink or Windchill ProjectLink only) This utility allows you to manage the exchange of file data and metadata with other systems using XML files.
This utility manages the mapping of attributes between a sending system and your system when importing package delivery files.
This utility allows you to create and manage purge jobs to permanently remove data from the Windchill system.
This utility allows you to create and update replication rules and schedule replication sessions.
Business Administration
The business administration links provide access to the administration of business objects, such as life cycle and workflow templates. These links are described below:

This utility allows you to view the available business rules.
This utility provides the ability to create a package of business administrative changes for exporting the changes to a production Windchill system. It allows importing of business administrative changes from a Windchill system.
(ERP Connector or Windchill Enterprise Systems Integration) This utility allows you to view and edit the transaction history of a published object.
Displays information on how to define business object numbering schemes.
(Windchill PDMLink, or Arbortext Content Manager only) Displays information on how to control identifiers generated for object versions.
This utility allows you to create and manage life cycle templates used for defining the phases and transitions of various business objects.
(ERP Connector or Windchill Enterprise Systems Integration) This utility allows you to create distribution targets used by Windchill Enterprise Systems Integration.
This utility allows you to create and manage rules for object initialization that set default values for object attributes relating to the current organization.
This utility allows you to create users, groups and organization participants.
This utility allows you to manage administrative domains and their access control, indexing, and notification policies.
This utility allows you to view and set preferences for your organization.
This utility allows you to view and edit promotion preferences.
This utility allows you to control the generation of visualization objects.
This utility allows you to create, update, and delete reports using the Query Builder tool. A report is the output of a predefined search and is used for generating statistics and metrics against business information.
(Windchill PDMLink, or Arbortext Content Manager only) This utility allows you to create and manage team templates. When creating a life cycle-managed object, you can use a team template as a base for the team participants throughout its life cycle.
This utility allows you to manage type definitions, attribute definitions, measurement systems, and quantities of measure. Users with the appropriate permissions to create, modify, or remove types or attributes. Additionally, users can configure display units for attributes, associate attribute definitions with type definitions, and constrain the values of those attributes.
This utility manages the visualization configurations including watermark files and publishing rules.
(Arbortext Content Manager, Windchill PDMLink, or Windchill ProjectLink only) This utility allows you to create and manage workflow templates.
(Arbortext Content Manager, Windchill PDMLink, or Windchill ProjectLink only) This utility allows you to search for workflow processes, view activity and task level details, restart stalled workflows, and terminate or delete workflows.
This utility allows you to view the status of visualization publish jobs in the current organization context.
This utility allows you to create and execute WVS jobs.
Auditing Administration
The auditing administration links provide access to the administration of auditing. These links are described below:

This utility allows you to view security audit report queries and schedule them for execution.
This utility allows you to create and view security audit reports and save report queries.
