Replacements Tab
The Replacements tab is visible when the selected part (or part master) has a parent in the redline structure tree.
The Replacements tab includes the Substitutes table for viewing the existing defined substitute parts for the selected part in the BOM redline. This table allows you to add or remove parts, and edit parts that are certified to be used as a substitute. The Replacements tab in the BOM redline structure browser highlights the changes when you plan modifications to the substitute parts.
The following table describes actions and icons shown in the default table view on the Replacements tab:

Insert Existing
Insert an existing part as a substitute into the Substitutes table. Opens the Find Substitute Part window. You can search for a part to associate as a substitute for the selected part.
Remove Selected
Remove a substitutes part from the structure.
Visual Color Indicators for Substitute
The following colors indicate the changes in the redline structure tree and the usage table after modifications in the BOM:

Edit or replace the substitute
Red
Indicates that the substitute part attributes are modified, or a part usage is replaced with a new or existing one.
Insert substitute
Green
Indicates that the new substitute part is inserted.
Substitute modified
Black text with red strikethrough
Indicates the old values when the substitute part is modified.
Substitute removed
Red text red strikethrough
Indicates that the substitute part is removed.

For any above action, the parent part of the substitute part becomes red in the redline structure tree for the existing usage link. For a new usage link, it appears in green.
