Life Cycle Analytics
The Life Cycle Analytics table displays the allocation status and other Windchill LCA attributes. The following Windchill LCA attributes are displayed:
Allocation Status—Indicates whether a part has the required LCA data associated with it. The valid allocation statuses are as follows:
Icon
Allocation Status
Description
Complete
Specifies that the company material allocation has been made for the supplier part and its transport distances and modes are known.
Partial
Specifies that the company material allocation has been made for the supplier part but the transport details are unknown. The allocation status is also set to partial if an automatic allocation has been made to an unknown material.
None
Specifies that the supplier part does not have any company material association.
Greenhouse Gas Emissions—Specifies the total amount of the direct and indirect emissions of all the major greenhouse gases throughout the life cycle of a company material, part, or BOM. GHG Emissions or Greenhouse Gas Emissions are the gaseous emissions that contribute to the Greenhouse effect on the planet. For example, carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide.
Embodied Energy—Specifies the total amount of direct and indirect use of energy throughout the life cycle of a company material, part, or BOM. For example, oil, coal, natural gas, nuclear, wind, solar, and hydro.
Acidification Potential—Acidification Potential includes emissions of pollutants which are acids or cause acidification processes in air, water and soil, throughout the lifecycle of a product or service. It is the identified amount of SO2 (Sulphur Oxide) that is emitted as part of producing an object. SO2 is a prime constituent in acid rain.
Eutrophication Potential—Specifies the amount of emission of nutrients in air, water, and soil and also of organic matter in water throughout the life cycle of a product. It is the amount of phosphate produced in the process of manufacturing a product or part.
Embodied Water Use—Specifies the total amount of direct and indirect withdrawal of water throughout the life cycle of a product. It is the amount of water used to produce a product or part.
