Modify Classification Nodes
Use the Manage Classifications utility to edit and delete classification nodes.
For information on creating a classification node, see Insert Classification Nodes.
You can also update classification nodes and node attributes as part of the import operation. However, using the Import action updates the entire classification structure, and cannot be restricted to individual nodes. For more information, see Import a Classification Structure.




Editing a Node
If you want to make changes to a node such as modifying properties, adding or removing attributes, or reorganizing the layout, you must put the node in edit mode.
1. Select the node in the Classification Tree.
2. From the classification information page, select Actions > Edit.
3. Make changes under the appropriate tab:
Properties
Layouts
Attributes
Autonaming Rule

If a field is grayed-out, it cannot be edited.
To add or modify an image or schematic file, click the edit icon next to the field. To remove the file, click the delete icon .
4. Click Save to save your changes and keep editing the node.

Click Done to save changes and exit edit mode.




Deleting a Node
You can delete one or more nodes using several methods. Before you can delete a node, a confirmation window appears.

If a parent node is selected, all child nodes are automatically deleted as well.
From the Classification Tree:
Select Delete from the right-click actions menu of an individual node.
Select the checkboxes next to one or more nodes and select Actions > Delete.
Import a new classification structure that does not include the node. For more information, see Import a Classification Structure.
From the classification information page:
Select Actions > Delete.
