Notebook Tables
The notebook is a way to organize your information. You can use the Notebook and My Notebook tables to upload files into Windchill, create links, and organize your information into folders and subfolders. For more information on links, see About Links.
The information and actions available vary slightly between the Notebook table and the My Notebook table. The tables are available in two locations:
The Notebook table is located on the information page of an object or context. You can access this table by navigating to an information page and selecting Customize > General > Notebook. For more information, see Customizing Information Page Tabs.
The Notebook table allows you to create and organize links that you want to associate with an individual object or context. The links created in the Notebook table can be viewed and modified by any users who have access to the associated object. When an object is deleted, the links in the Notebook table are deleted as well.
The My Notebook table is located on your Home page. You can access it by navigating to your Home page and selecting Customize > Notebook. It is also accessible by selecting Quick Links > My Notebook.
Personalizing Tables and Table Views
The information in the My Notebook table is only accessible to you. Actions you perform using this table are not reflected in any Notebook table, and you are the only user who can create and manage links within this table. Any hot links you create are automatically added to the My Notebook table.
For an overview on information table functionality, see Table and Table View Overview
